Error 1: TOC does not contain the heading you just added to your document. If still not showing check to see if a style is applied to the heading you are trying to include.

The easiest way to build and maintain a table of contents is by using Styles. The instructions in this guide are for Word for Office 365, Word for Office 365 for Mac, Word for the web, Word 2019, Word 2019 for Mac, Word 2016, Word 2013, Word 2010, Word 2007, and Word 2016 for Mac.
We can use the Styles pane in MS Word’s Home tab to “tag” each heading: Tip: When you update a table of contents in Word, choose “Update page numbers only” if your headings have moved (because you’ve added or deleted content) but their wording hasn’t changed.
